ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Georges Corm is a Lebanese economist and a historian. He is a consultant to various international associations and a university professor. He is the author of a number of books in French on the issues of development and the contemporary history of the Arab world and its relations with Europe. In English, he has published Fragmentation of the Middle East, The last 30years, Hutchinson, 1988, and is co-author of Debt and Development, Praeger, New York, 1982.
